So What's in the Box of the Flip Mino & Flip Ultra Cameras?
There’s two types of Flip cameras – the Flip Ultra and the slimmer, more expensive Flip Mino version, more Flip micro than mino.
They are both so compact, so simple and surprisingly effective that you’re bound to get hooked!
From now on the only thing you have to worry about is wearing all your friends out (good for a change though...) with hours and hours of footage from your own trips, parties and even kiddy events if you wish!
First thing – you will be impressed how easy to use these cameras are. You won’t have to follow complicated instructions and choose from a maze of buttons to make it work.
There’s only three buttons on Ultra’s interface to choose from, all labelled clearly: on/off, record and delete. Mino comes with eight touch-sensitive capacity buttons, but will give you a few extra options with that as well, such as pause, forward and rewind. What could be easier?
Worried about downloading your video? Even that has been taken into consideration – the USB plug is built-in, so you can just stick it in to your computer and download your videos straight away.
If this makes you suspicious about the quality of the footage, there’s more surprises on the way.
The quality is sure to impress you – even if the light is low. Want to have a record of all the stuff that’s going on in the shadiest corners of your office during the Christmas party? No problem! Want to have heartwarming footage of your children singing carols by the Christmas tree in a dusky afternoon? Go ahead! The focusing is automatic and there’s also 2x digital zoom available.
Both Ultra and Mino come with a 2GB memory card which equals to up to an hour’s worth of video.
While the Flip Ultra needs two AA batteries to operate, Mino works well with a built-in rechargeable Lithium ion battery, lasting up to four hours. It’s easy to recharge via computer USB port, so no hassle with chargers and cables.
