    Update April, 2010: Now discontinued and sold out at YesAsia and almost everywhere else but we still see some copies popping up on eBay both used and new or try this Grindhouse page on Amazon.com too.

    First off thanks to Stefan at YesAsia for alerting me to this. Like many Tarantino/Rodriguez fans I was hoping to see the Grindhouse double bill as it was originally intended but the studios decided that Death Proof & Planet Terror should go their separate ways and that was that.

    This 6 disc Grindhouse Limited Edition box set looks like the next best thing. As far as I know this is only getting a Japanese release with no word on a UK or US combined box set (please fill me in if you know any different).

    Can highly recommend YesAsia for anyone that's not used them before. Ordered twice from there and both items arrived earlier than the projected date, 10 days from ordering and nice not to have to worry about the customs and VAT charge.

    Not sure what the exact cover art will be yet but will add to the post once I know.

    Couldn't tell you Rob, waiting to see on DVD myself but generally positive reviews on Metacritic

    It's 2 films, Planet Terror by Rodriguez and Death Proof by Tarantino. The box set has extended versions of each film and disc 5 has both films shown together in their initial cinema outing as Grindhouse (I'd imagine this also includes the Grindhouse style trailers between the films by Edgar Wright, Rob Zombie and co.)

    That's right grant, according to the description on CDWow, Disk 5 has the theatrical cut on the 2 films plus the fake trailers! yay!

    Pictures of the Grindhouse 6 Disc Box Set now up on YesAsia, and tracked down some more of the discs too. Love the old vinyl 45 styling of the discs...

    Just got an update from YesAsia on this. As it's a limited edition and the only full Groundhouse version to be released worldwide it's been selling well and may not last much longer than the release date of March 21st. So best not leave it too late if you're keen to get the full Grindhouse experience!

    Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the heads up on this, as I pre-ordered my boxset from YesAsia and it arrived today!!! It was despatched on 25th March and only took a week! HURRAH! Cannot wait to watch this.

    Cool stuff :) That's how long Yes Asia took for my last box set too, good company.

    Just got word that my local indie cinema's showing the full Grindhouse experience soon for one night only, don't know if it's a one off or whether it's going around the smaller cinemas in the UK.

    The Grindhouse box set above's still available at YesAsia (though price gone up a bit) but if you're after a cheaper alternative you can now get a Korean release of Death Proof and Plaent Terror combined...
