My favourite series of all time is gimme gimme gimme,Bought them all individually when they first came out, wore them out then I bought the box set to replace them, and have wore the third series disc out of that set. Kathy Burke is a genius
I definatly prefer tv series over film.Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy and Auf weidersein pet never seem to get a break on dvd player.
My favourite is You Rang M'Lord because of the period it is set in and the excellent casting and scripts

Fawlty Towers gets my vote. So many unforgettable moments that still make me laugh out loud whenever I see them - even my kids laugh at John Cleese strutting around in his inimitable way.

i wrote such a long list of my comedy favourites that the sign in timed out and i lost the whole lot
so hers a top 10 without all the comments that took me over half an hour to write
1.) Red Dwarf
2.) The Simpsons
3.) Family Guy
4.) Bottom
5.) Pheonix Nights
7.) The Office
8.) Peep show
9.) Father Ted
10.) Operation Good Guys
others that nearly made my list
the royal family, spaces, mighty boosh, little britan, fonejacker, poridge, the britas empire, monty pythons flying circuis, blackadder, Futurama, South Park, Ren and Stimpy, green wing, that mitchelle and web look, young ones.... and so on and so on
Has to be the Benny Hill Show.
Absoltely brilliant sketches, which are timeless. A lot of them have no dialogue, so could be watched anywhere in the world. And then of course the famous chases, with that famous music.
Haven't been around so much this weekend but great to see so many entries and find out what keeps everyone laughing. Who'dve thought when On The Buses first aired in 1872 that it could still drum up so much interest today
weller96c, quite a list - sorry you lost it first time around. Had a look and I can't find a way of changing the timeout settings here so probably best to select all and copy what you've written before submitting just to be safe.
Thanks all who posted links to the dvds, found some decent deals among them too. Anyone who's not posted a link I'll make sure and add one for so you'll still be entered but in next weeks competition it's over to you.
Still time to enter up till midnight tonight after which I'll be performing the random draw in a sealed off warehouse with lawyers and government officials present to avoid any results rigging
The winner (and any runners up) will be announced on the forum tomorrow morning and I'll send an email out if you won too.
Good luck!
Grant
After much consideration I've come up with what i think is the most funniest film of all time .
The most funniest film(s) has to be The Pink Panther collection. A succesful franchise with many sequels that kept the 1970's decade roaring with laughter. Peter Sellers' role as Inspector Clouseau is more than extraordinary and around every corner there is always something to make you
I have got to say few have managed to keep the audience crying with joy with over 6 films or 10 hours, the way Peter Sellers has! Hugely satisfying, these movies can calm even Incredible Hulk!
What is interesting about the films is that there is a mixture of mystery, thriller, and slapstick humour all blended in hilariously to create something completely out of this world. I can never stop watching the films and each time the laughter only increases.
It's a real shame that 'The Return of The Pink Panther' is not included in the Pink Panther box set, so you'll have to buy that separately. There are also two more sequels, 'The Curse of The Pink Panther' and 'The Son of The Pink Panther' but these do not feature Petter Sellers, thus lacking the infinite humour of the first 6 films!
Here is the link for the Pink Panther Collection- no DVD collection should be without it!!!

The set is worth every penny and the appearnce is very attractive. A purple boxset with a cut out mirror on the front right of the outer slipcase! The inside folds out awesomely with animated shots of each of the five films in the background all over double sided, revealing the discs in the front! The quality of the picture and sound is awesome and clear, with the outstanding interactive menus as a bonus. it comes complete with a sixth discs with various features to relive the outrageous moments over and over again. It also has documentaries, a couple of The Pink Panther Cartoon episodes, original uncut trailers! And of course, to complete the set, a collector's booklet which is a must read!
And here is the link for 'The Return of The pink Panther', not included in the collection above, but nevertheless in the same standard as the five in the collection!

Believe it or not, all 6 Peter Sellers' pink Panther movies are the funniest. Each tops the other and you can never stop
laughing throughout each whole films!
Whether it is the traditional slipping, falling and tripping scenes
, or the outragrous slapstick violence between Clouseasu and Kato (he just killed me!)
or even the hilarious accent of Clouseasu such as 'phone' and 'feurn', I can clearly state 'in black and white' the Pink Panther movies will never go out of date and each will keep its audience laughing out of control
for genearations to come, since the many decades it has!!!
The Peter Sellers' Pink Panther film collection- the most outrageous comedy- mystery- thriller- classic franchise ever!- bar none!
(phew)!

my all time fav is only fools & horses, i can still remember the one liners almost fetching me to tears, like when they was out chatting up girls and del tells them rodney is a tennis pro, she asks rodney what do you prefare grass or astro turf, rodney replies ive never smoked astro truf.
i also like the northern comedies common as muck & auf wiedersehen pet
And the winner is... go back to the updated first post to find out!
Just seen my name as a Runner up. Thank you so much , grant
I will pm you with my details as soon as I choose one.
Jenny
Thankyou Thankyou. I'm over the moon. Plenty to watch now while I'm ironing.

Over the moon with my 3rd place.
Congrats to Lucydu52(real name Lucy I hope!) - I'd be careful if your gonna watch on the buses whilst ironing BTW , it's pretty funny stuff so watch out that your concentration doesn't slip
- Same goes for Jenny who snuck-in in 2nd place enjoy your DVDs the both of you.
Glad my Fawlty Towers piece did the trick for third place - I feel a bit like Lewis Hamilton making all these podiums
Commiserations to all those who were unlucky , lots of good insightful posts - better luck next time.
Usual thanx to Grant for the whys , wherefores and general logistics.
The thing is I try to watch things whilst ironing but I end up stopping and watching from behind the ironing board. Not must gets done if I'm honest but nevermind.
