How did this manage to sneak past my radar. A limited edition Seinfeld box set of the complete series 1-9. Hard to find much details about this so far but it does come with a 226 page coffee table sized book and an additional bonus disc (should hope so) with new cast interviews. Amazon says it comes in a durable black casing so hopefully just a bad picture and it's not actually brown.

Available for pre-order now with a release date of 19th of November.

Seinfeld DVD Box Set - Complete Series 1-9 - £79.97 delivered at Amazon

Next cheapest is Sendit at £99.89

    This is unbelievable!! :face-surprised:

I already have individual boxsets 1 - 4 but I just ordered this! You can't NOT order it at that price! :face-laugh:

If this is a genuine price, that has to be the best dvd deal I've ever seen. I already have the first 7 seasons, so was a bit annoyed at the announcement of a complete box set with an extra disc and book. If this comes through ok, this is costing me less to order this than it would be to just order seasons 8 and 9 to complete my set.

    Quite Outstanding!

I'm currently whittling my way through seasons 1-5 of Larry David's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. It'll be a great set to move on to... once I'm through the many painful (and hilarious) situations in Curb...

I'm a bit sceptical about getting it at that price though, sounds too good to be true - especially with the packaging looking good and the extra disc etc.

    Here's hoping, fingers crossed.

    Just a word of warning...

Watch out for Tesco quietly cancelling your order - they are known for doing it.

I've personally had it done to me twice now - without any emails or any other warnings, when you check your account details it states that 'you' i.e. in my two instances - 'I' cancelled the order - which was frankly a lie.

They kindly cancelled a copy of 'Link's Cross-bow Training' - on Wii - for me, which kindly didn't show up - it was intended as a Xmas present:face-angry:
The previous year they quietly cancelled a Xbox360 HD-DVD for me too.

If the Seinfeld deal doesn't come off - you probably won't hear about it.
So much for every little helps...:face-wink:

    Hope it goes through.

Funny how Amazon’s set has gone storming up the sales ranking
    even though priced at £119.98.

Perhaps Tesco are buying them all up!:face-wink:

Wed 9th Jan for me too:face-grin::face-grin::face-grin:

I ordered mine quite late - only half an hour before the 'sold out' sign was put up.

So I'm still not 100% sure I'll get it - just playing it cautiously:face-straight:

    Same here!

But be wary, I have read elsewhere that some orders have been cancelled due to this being a pricing error. One guy wrote that he ordered 2 sets and one was cancelled while the other wasn't. Maybe they're only honouring one set per customer?
    Here's hoping!

I'll have to stretch my Curb... set a bit longer now :face-cry: Anyway it was worth a shot at that price.

AND... The free £5 off entertainment voucher I was sent - it's to see me through the mental anguish and torment:face-wink:

    eCoupon - XXSEINFELD
Valid on orders placed on or before Sunday 2nd March 2008.

Yeh, was a total longshot and happy enough to get the £5 off voucher.

Someone mailed me about what grounds they'd have to complain but looking at their terms no contract is formed until an item is dispatched so they're totally within their rights to cancel it.

Just need to find a suitable item to use the £5 voucher on now - preferably a DVD box set.

Gonna have to look at the forthcoming release schedules and any good current deals at Tesco(/direct).com

Let us know if anyone gets any great ideas:face-grin:

You could do worse than get Seinfeld Season 9 for just £10 with your voucher.

    Next cheapest £18.48

Edit: just noticed it's out of stock, back to drawing board.

I got the same email. Had a look today and is it just me, or is Tesco actually really expensive online?? I couldn't find anything I fancied at a decent price. If Seasons 8 and 9 weren't now unavailable I'd have used the voucher to get one of those even cheaper and still get a Seinfeld bargain out of this.

Have to agree, spent half an hour this morning looking around the site and just about everything was cheaper elsewhere.

Life on Mars Series 2 not a bad deal for £13 with the voucher.

Sleeper Cell 4-disc for £2 with voucher

Monty Python Season 4 £1 with voucher
at £6 cheaper than anywhere else anyway

Long Way down £6.97 with voucher

    Might wait for a while

I think the small print for the voucher said it can't be used on Tesco Jersey prices, which takes out most of Tesco's "best" prices.
