   In the last couple of weeks I spotted a few titles in stock at HMV that were not showing a price on comparison, but with "The Prisoner 40th Anniversery Ed." there are quite a few prices not showing:-

   £28.93 The Hut (not showing on comparison)
   £28.93 WHSmith (not showing on comparison)
   £28.93 Asda (not showing on comparison)
   £28.93 Dixons Enter. (not showing on comparison)
   £28.93 Currys Enter. (not showing on comparison)
   £28.95 Zavvi (not showing on comparison)
   £28.97 Argos (not showing on comparison)
   £28.97 PC World (not showing on comparison)
   £28.97 Woolworths (not part of this site at this time)
   £29.86 Lovefilm (not showing on comparison)
   £29.89 Sendit (not showing on comparison)
   £29.97 Tesco (not showing on comparison)
   £54.99 HMV (not showing on comparison)

   this example shows Woolworths are in line with other retailers, but without checking other prices first on some titles we could think that we're getting a bargain but in fact being stitched up.

   Hi Mne1976,

   Just back from holiday so catching up with everything now.

   That's a great point and I've just raised a support issue to see if the missing merchant prices can be added manually to the price comparison service or whether our hands are tied if the merchants aren't sending us any data for a particular box set or dvd.

   Will let you know how it goes.

   For this particular box set - The Prisoner 40th Anniversary Edition the long list of merchants are all part of the Hut Group apart from HMV. Sites that are part of the The Hut Group all use the same pricing system (though their prices may vary) but the linked pricing explains why all of them are not showing in this case - if we can get data from one I'm sure we can get the data from all of them.

   As for Woolworths until they reintroduce their affiliate programme I'm afraid they won't be shown on the site as the comparison service only shows merchants with an affiliate scheme. Hopefully they'll get back on track with one soon and until then feel free to post any dvds you find cheaper there on the forum.

   Sorry again for some of the price inconsistencies on the site, I've learned that price comparison is really difficult to get right all the time as it relies on so many factors and lots of merchants supplying us with accurate and current data.

   It's a tool that can often find you he cheapest price without all the hassle of checking sites manually but if you ever have the time to check everywhere else then you may well find some items cheaper elsewhere.

   Anyways, thanks for your feedback and I'll keep trying to make and suggest improvements where it's possible

   Okay, just got a quick reply, there have actually been 2 releases of the Prisoner 40th anniversary edition. The one mentioned above is an older release and will be removed from the search soon as it's pretty much discontinued now.

   Here's the correct link to the newer release that has all the prices you mentioned as missing (except for Woolworths for reasons listed above), starting at £28.93 at The Hut:

   had a feeling they would be on price comparison as the dvd section setup is identical to Argos entertainment.

   Hence the comment of at this time
