Just got an email from Zavvi with info on their exclusive version of Bioshock 2 out on 9th of February. The Rapture Edition includes the game and a 164 page hardcover book "Deco Devolution - The Art of Bioshock 2". Looks pretty nice.
Bioshock 2 Rapture Editions - £39.95 for Xbox360/PS3 at Zavvi (£29.95 for PC)
They also have the cheapest price for the regular PS3 version and Xbox360 at £34.45 (price not upated on comparison pages yet).

Great post. Today, not only have you reminded me of the Fools n Horses prequel on Sunday, but you've just reminded me that the sequel to one of my fave games of the last few years is out soon.
Looks a great edition with the book, ta.

Not sure about the game or film but loved the book

Quick question:
Is there a way of getting back direct to this games thread
from the actual search pages on gamescollections?
Might be missing something, but I always have to go back
through the dvd site to get back here?
TIA
Cheers for the acadaca price, I need that one.
On the other issue, currently no. Via the search pages it's DVDS>>DVD FORUM, and you're there.
I bypass this by using multiple tabs and having Gamescollections bookmarked anyway.
Just added a link to the Games forum at top left of the Game Collections search pages (under price tracker links).
Thanks got the link
when you select individual deal
and yes bit on AC/DC too.
Hopefully timing was right
The ACDC game is down to £11.91 now
Isn't it annoying, that apparently the band are not replicated in game, like the Beatles game is for example. They use seemingly unrelated character models.
Also, why did they have to make it a game based on the live 1991 CD? Live performances never really work in these rhythm games - and that's on previous experience. They should of just bundled it into a greatest studio hits game. Feels like a halfway house.
Lastly, if you're gonna make it an ACDC live game at least take it from If You Want Blood... You've Got It - the best ACDC album available, be it studio or live performance(maybe even the best rock album ever imo). I'd better stop now
Awwww stuff it
can never get the timing right.
See what you mean about the AC/DC game contents
AC/DC now back up to £14.97
so not too much damage (64p).
For now at least
I got this today, sounds interesting:
"Dear ROBERT,
We are pleased to inform you that your ShopTo.Net account has been placed into our Gold loyalty scheme.

While all our customers will of course continue to receive the same top quality ShopTo service we have introduced this scheme to reward our regular users with a range of extra special benefits! * Silver: Customers who purchase 25 or more and less than 50 unique products (in 12 months).

* Trader: Customers who purchase 3 units or more of the same product to re-sell.
Benefits:

Now firstly, I know, I buy far too much from Shopto.
More importantly, secondly the £1.50 voucher a month, 'special gold member offers and pre-order preference sounds really handy - for me at least.
Anyone else get an email?

I'll nab one.
Just came across this while checking out Play's Hotpicks. This isn't showing on our price comparison, but looks an ok deal, direct link provided. It's been around this price for ages - but you get a 'pre-order' pack with this one. The standard and platinum versions are dearer on Play, and are around the £12-14 mark across the board - currently.

Lowest price yet for this game. Love it. I spent the last 2 months of my gaming playing through the 2 games included. Contrary to some reviews I thought the final episode (The Ballad of Gay Tony) was the strongest, having the best main character of the 3 GTA IV games in Luis Lopez(reminicent of GTA San Andreas' Carl Johnson), with a very welcome splash of humour, colour and variety - reminds me of GTA Vice City.

If you're interested in this western themed game, then the soon to be released Red Dead Redemption should be right up your street. Billed by some as "Grand Theft Auto on horse-back" and also produced by GTA's Rockstar Games, I must say it looks fantastic.
Some of the gameplay videos look so much like a western themed GTA it has to be seen to be believed. Identical HUD and everything. Leaving aside GTA though, it looks truly oustanding in it's own right. I'm really looking forward to Red Dead Redemption

Quite a few good games are due out in the next few weeks/months, with the multi-format Red Dead Redemption being the standout for me, but another game that I've just got really excited about is Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer, out Friday of this week, exclusively on PS3.
Hopes are high for this highly cinematic video game release, it hopefully should interest any gamers who visit this site. The emphasis being on story telling as the game progresses, jumping back and forth playing the game through 4 different characters' points of view, a missing childs' father and a detective for starters. The story line involves the kidnapping of a young child, and from the trailers it's general tone resembles an episode of Chris Carters' 'Millennium'.
I'm not sure how well it will actually play, but the early reviews are great, with a 8/9 out of 10 scoreline in most reviews. The story and it's characters will react to your various inputs during gameplay, such as choosing which subtle action to take first when interviewing somebody as the detective character, and if your character dies they are simply written out of the story and the game adapts to the new scenario - that had me scratching my head too, there must be a limit...
Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer (PS3), prices start at £37.73 at Amazon
Ok, so it's not cheap(like the standard edition isn't), but alternatively, if you're like me and want to treat yourself to the collectors' edition, it's exclusive to HMV, right here.
HMV Exclusive Version Contains:
Exclusive Embossed Slipcase Sleeve
Inpack Voucher To Download The Following Digital Content:
Heavy Rain Dynamic Theme
Heavy Rain Official Soundtrack (7 tracks, containing the main orchestral themes, recorded at Abbey Road Studios)
Episode 1 of the Heavy Rain Chronicles - The 'Taxidermist' scene
As you can probably tell, it's hard to really describe to you what this game is really about and how it really works, so if you're interested check out the IGN video review.
(just avoid any youtube comments incase of spoilers!)
A few bargains in there
Watched the Heavy rain review, looks like it really puts you in the director's chair, graphics not always 100% like it says but gameplay and narrative look very impressive indeed. Cool post.
... and cheers for Play sale link Jake.
It's a good job I completed Heavy Rain yesterday...my PS3 went down with the dreaded (8001050F) error code when I turned it on late last night(Sunday) - conveniently wiping all my Heavy Rain 'trophies' that I'd just acquired!
Well, that and rendering my ps3 unusable.

Yikes, no luck
See it's the number one story on the bbc just now so must be pretty widespread, Playstation are going to have a busy morning.
Phew, it corrected itself at 23.45 last night.
The fire has been put out. (That was really quite exciting)
